Gabbeh Rugs

An extraordinary collection of authentic tribal rugs.

Gabbeh rugs from Iran always have a very simple design often using just one colour with a rich ‘abrash’ (abrash refers to the subtle or bold changes in tone within a single colour area). They are usually decorated with naïve tribal references. Both elements combine to suggest something of the rugged yet rich culture of the Qashqai tribes people who produce them.
